The City of Palm Valley along with the City of Primera and the City of Combes is proud to announce the 2nd annual 5k/10k run and a 1-mile fun run. These runs will be on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. rain or shine. They are going to start in front of the Harlingen Country Club at 5400 El Camino Real, Palm Valley, TX 78552. The 5k run will be within the loop of the City of Palm Valley, while the 10k is going to cross into the City of Primera and end back at the City of Palm Valley. The minimum age to register and run is 13 years old, and the first 200 registrants will get a T-shirt. Additionally, every finisher of the races will get a medal and awards will be given to the top finishers. Registrations can be done online via the ACTIVE portal at https://www.active.com/…/tri-city-10k-5k-1-mile-fun-run… or in person at Palm Valley City Hall. For the registrations fee, it is $5 for the 1-mile run, $20 for the 5k run, and $25 for the 10k run. Active-duty military members and veterans will receive a 5% discount on these registration fees when registering. Only checks, money orders, or cashiers’ checks will be accepted at the time of registration if registering with the paper form.
